| Description |
World-Class Instruction at a World-Class Resort
Ranked among the Top Ten Golf Schools in the USA by Golf & Travel Magazine, the Golf Academy of Hilton Head Island offers year-round instruction for golfers of all proficiency levels with programs ranging from half days to four days in length.
Teaching Philosophy
Our instructional method is the "Teaching/Coaching" philosophy. The "teaching" portion is verbal communication, while, the "coaching" enables students to understand and "feel" the correct movements of a golf swing. Extensive video analysis and a complete personalized improvement manual are just two of the tools used during the learning process. When students leave the school, they will have improved their playing skills and their ability to identify and correct their own problems.
Instructors
Led by Director of Instruction Skip Malek, Carolina's PGA Section 1998 "Teacher of the Year", all programs are instructed by Class A PGA Professionals with decades of combined experience and extensive teaching credentials. All are adept at diagnosing swing problems and establishing corrective measures that result in permanent improvement. A student-teacher ratio of four-to-one is strictly maintained to ensure maximum individual attention.
Facilities
First in Sea Pines' triple crown of golf is Harbour Town Golf Links, cited as the number one course in South Carolina and included among Golf Digest's "Top 100 Resort Courses". The legendary Ocean Course was redesigned by Mark McCumber in 1995 and the Sea Marsh Course winds through dense forests and vast tidal marshes.
